1. 성경말씀

1) 욥42:1~17절

42:1 욥이 여호와께 대답하여 이르되  

42:2 주께서는 못 하실 일이 없사오며 무슨 계획이든지 못 이루실 것이 없는 줄 아오니  

42:3 무지한 말로 이치를 가리는 자가 누구니이까 나는 깨닫지도 못한 일을 말하였고 스스로 알 수도 없고 

헤아리기도 어려운 일을 말하였나이다  

42:4 내가 말하겠사오니 주는 들으시고 내가 주께 묻겠사오니 주여 내게 알게 하옵소서  

42:5 내가 주께 대하여 귀로 듣기만 하였사오나 이제는 눈으로 주를 뵈옵나이다  

42:6 그러므로 내가 스스로 거두어들이고 티끌과 재 가운데에서 회개하나이다  

42:7 여호와께서 욥에게 이 말씀을 하신 후에 여호와께서 데만 사람 엘리바스에게 이르시되 

내가 너와 네 두 친구에게 노하나니 이는 너희가 나를 가리켜 말한 것이 내 종 욥의 말 같이 옳지 못함이니라  

42:8 그런즉 너희는 수소 일곱과 숫양 일곱을 가지고 내 종 욥에게 가서 너희를 위하여 번제를 드리라 

내 종 욥이 너희를 위하여 기도할 것인즉 내가 그를 기쁘게 받으리니 너희가 우매한 만큼 너희에게 갚지 아니하리라 

이는 너희가 나를 가리켜 말한 것이 내 종 욥의 말 같이 옳지 못함이라  

42:9 이에 데만 사람 엘리바스와 수아 사람 빌닷과 나아마 사람 소발이 가서 여호와께서 자기들에게 명령하신 대로 

행하니라 여호와께서 욥을 기쁘게 받으셨더라  

42:10 욥이 그의 친구들을 위하여 기도할 때 여호와께서 욥의 곤경을 돌이키시고 여호와께서 욥에게 

이전 모든 소유보다 갑절이나 주신지라  

42:11 이에 그의 모든 형제와 자매와 이전에 알던 이들이 다 와서 그의 집에서 그와 함께 음식을 먹고 

여호와께서 그에게 내리신 모든 재앙에 관하여 그를 위하여 슬퍼하며 위로하고 각각 케쉬타 하나씩과 

금 고리 하나씩을 주었더라  

42:12 여호와께서 욥의 말년에 욥에게 처음보다 더 복을 주시니 그가 양 만 사천과 낙타 육천과 소 천 겨리와 

암나귀 천을 두었고  

42:13 또 아들 일곱과 딸 셋을 두었으며  

42:14 그가 첫째 딸은 여미마라 이름하였고 둘째 딸은 긋시아라 이름하였고 셋째 딸은 게렌합북이라 이름하였으니  

42:15 모든 땅에서 욥의 딸들처럼 아리따운 여자가 없었더라 그들의 아버지가 그들에게 그들의 오라비들처럼 기업을 주었더라  

42:16 그 후에 욥이 백사십 년을 살며 아들과 손자 사 대를 보았고  

42:17 욥이 늙어 나이가 차서 죽었더라

1) 욥42:1~17절

42:1 Then Job replied to the LORD:

42:2 "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.

42:3 You asked, 'Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?' Surely I spoke of things 

I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.

42:4 "You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.'

42:5 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.

42:6 Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

42:7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you 

and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.

42:8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering 

for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you 

according to your folly. You have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has."

42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the LORD told them; 

and the LORD accepted Job's prayer.

42:10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and 

gave him twice as much as he had before.

42:11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in 

his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought upon him, 

and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.

42:12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, 

six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.

42:13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters.

42:14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch.

42:15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters, 

and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

42:16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth 

generation.

42:17 And so he died, old and full of years. 

1. 잠언이란

1) 명칭

잠언이란 단어의 한자의 뜻은 '경계의 말씀'이다.

히브리어 '마샬'

'마샬'에서 유래하는데 그 뜻은 '비교'라는 의미이다.

즉 잠언이란 비교를 통해서 무엇이 진리인지를 가르쳐주는 경계의 말씀,

즉 격언이나 속담을 말한다.

2) 구조 및 내용

대략적으로 분류하면 젊은이를 위한 권고(1~10장), 모든 사람을 위한 권고(11~20장), 그리고 왕과 통치자를 위한 권고(21~31장)로 구분할 수 있으며, 그 내용을 살펴보면 다음과 같다.

2. 잠언 (장별) 구조

1) 젊은이를 위한 권고 (1~10장)

여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본이다 (1:7), 지혜는 선한 길로 인도한다(2:20), 범사에 하나님을 인정하면 인생길을 지도하신다(3:6), 마음을 지키는 것이 생명의 근원이 된다(4:23), 음녀를 멀리하고(5:8) 젊어서 취한 아내를 즐거워하라(5:18), 게으른 자는 개미에게서 지혜를 배우고(6:6), 여호와께서 미워하시는 것을 피하라(6:16~19), 음녀를 조심하라(7:15~27), 여호와를 경외하는 것은 악을 미워하는 것이다(8:13), 여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜의 근본이다(9:10) , 입술을 제어하는 자가 지혜가 있다(10:19)

2) 모든 사람을 위한 권고(11~20장)

지나치게 아끼면 가난하게 되지만 구제를 좋아하는 자는 풍족해진다(11:24~25), 지혜로운 자는 권고를 듣는다(12:15), 의인은 거짓말을 미워한다(13:5), 여호와를 경외하는 것은 생명샘이라(14:27), 가난한 자를 불쌍히 여기는 자는 주를 존경하는 자이다(14:31), 유순한 대답은 분노를 쉬게 한다(15:1), 악인의 제사는 여호와께서 미워하셔도 정직한 자의 기도는 기뻐하신다(15:8), 여호와께 맡기면 경영하는 것이 이루어진다(16:3), 교만은 패망의 선봉이다(16:18), 가난한 집에 살지만 화목한 것이 부유한 집에 살면서 다투는 것보다 낫다(17:1), 교만은 멸망의 선봉이요 겸손은 존귀의 앞잡이다(18:12), 제비뽑는 것은 다툼을 그치게 한다(18:18) 많은 친구나 형제보다 친밀한 친구를 사귀라(19:17), 여호와를 경외하는 것은 사람으로 생명에 이르게 한다(19:23), 술은 사람으로 거만하고 떠들게 만든다(20:1), 한결같지 않은 저울추와 말은 여호와께서 미워하신다.(20:10,23)

3) 왕과 통치자를 위한 권고 (21~31장)

여호와께서는 제사드리는 것보다 의와 공평을 행하는 것을 더 기뻐하신다(21:3), 입과 혀를 지키는 자는 그 영혼이 환난에서 보전된다(21:23), 많은 재물보다 명예를 택하라(22:1), 자기 사업에 근실한 자는 왕 앞에 선다(22:29), 해로운 술을 멀리 하라(23:31~35), 악인의 형통을 부러워하지 말라(24:1), 인생에서 승리하기 원하면 모사의 지혜에 귀 기울이라(24:6), 여호와와 왕을 경외하고 반역자로 더불어 사귀지 말라(24:21), 경우에 합당한 말은 아로새긴 은쟁반에 금사과니라(25:11), 배고파하는 원수에게 식물을 주는 것은 그 머리에 핀 숯을 놓는 것이요, 여호와께 상 받을 일이다(25:21~22), 다투는 여인과 함께 큰 집에 사는 것보다는 움막에서 혼자 사는 것이 낫다(25:24), 나무가 다하면 불이 꺼지고 말장이가 없어지면 다툼이 사라진다(26:20), 내일 일을 자랑하지 말라(27:1), 사람이 율법에서 귀를 돌이키고 듣지 않으면 그 기도도 가증하다(28:9), 탐욕을 버리면 장수한다(28:16), 탐심을 가진 자는 다툼을 일으키지만 여호와를 의자하는 자는 풍족하게 된다.(28:25), 가난한 자를 구제하는 자는 궁핍하지 않지만 못 본체하는 자에게는 저주가 임한다(28:27), 공의를 구하면 나라가 견고케 되지만 뇌물을 탐하면 나라가 망한다(29:4), 사람을 두려워하면 올무에 걸리게 되지만 여호와를 의지하면 안전하다(29:25), 허탄과 거짓말을 멀리하고 필요한 양식을 구하는 것이 하나님께 영광 돌리는 길이다(30:7~9), 여자와 술을 멀리하고 공의로 재판하라(31:3~9), 현숙한 여인은 진주보다 더 귀하다(31:10), 여호와를 경외하는 여자는 칭찬을 받는다(31:30)

3. 결론

세상 살아가는 지혜의 소중함을 강조하면서, 궁극적으로 여호와 하나님을 경외하는 것이야말로 참된 지혜요, 최고의 지혜임을 강조하고 있다. 그렇다면 '여호와를 경외한다'는 것은 구체적으로 무엇을 의미할까? 그것은 단순히 하나님께 대한 두려움을 뜻하는 것이 아니다. 그것은 삶의 모든 영역 속에서 하나님의 전능하심과 절대주권을 인정하기에 그분을 두려워 하지만, 우리의 하나님 아버지는 좋으신 아버지 되심을 믿기에 전적으로 의뢰하며 그 말씀에 철저히 순종하며 기쁨으로 살아가는 삶을 의미한다.

4. 적용

인간은 누구나 지혜로운 삶을 살며 부자가 되길 원한다. 그러면 참된 지혜와 부는 어디서 오는가? 그것은 철학서적을 많이 읽거나 인생의 삶 가운데서 경험을 많이 했다고 얻어지는 것이 아니다. 오직 여호와 하나님을 경외하는데서 오는 것이다. 오직 여호와를 경외함으로 참된 지혜를 얻고, 참된 지혜를 소유한 자에게 주어지는 생명(10:27, 14:27)과 풍족함(19:23, 22:4) 그리고 마음의 평안(15:16)의 복을 받아 누릴 수 있게 된다. 

요14:12~31

14:12 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나를 믿는 자는 내가 하는 일을 그도 할 것이요 

또한 그보다 큰 일도 하리니 이는 내가 아버지께로 감이라  

14:13 너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 행하리니 이는 아버지로 하여금 아들로 말미암아 

영광을 받으시게 하려 함이라  

14:14 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 내게 구하면 내가 행하리라  

14:15 너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라  

14:16 내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하리니  

14:17 그는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 그를 받지 못하나니 이는 그를 보지도 못하고 알지도 못함이라 

그러나 너희는 그를 아나니 그는 너희와 함께 거하심이요 또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라  

14:18 내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려두지 아니하고 너희에게로 오리라  

14:19 조금 있으면 세상은 다시 나를 보지 못할 것이로되 너희는 나를 보리니 이는 내가 살아 있고

14:22 가룟인 아닌 유다가 이르되 주여 어찌하여 자기를 우리에게는 나타내시고 세상에는 아니하려 하시나이까  

14:23 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 사람이 나를 사랑하면 내 말을 지키리니 내 아버지께서 그를 사랑하실 

것이요 우리가 그에게 가서 거처를 그와 함께 하리라  

14:24 나를 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 내 말을 지키지 아니하나니 너희가 듣는 말은 내 말이 아니요 

나를 보내신 아버지의 말씀이니라 

14:25 내가 아직 너희와 함께 있어서 이 말을 너희에게 하였거니와  

14:26 보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치고

14:31 오직 내가 아버지를 사랑하는 것과 아버지께서 명하신 대로 행하는 것을 세상이 알게 하려 함이로라 

일어나라 여기를 떠나자 하시니라 

14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. 

He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, 

so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.

14:14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

14:15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command.

14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--

14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, 

because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and 

will be in you.

14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

14:19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, 

you also will live.

14:20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. 

He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

14:22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us 

and not to the world?"

14:23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, 

and we will come to him and make our home with him.

14:24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. 

These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

14:25 "All this I have spoken while still with you.

14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, 

will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. 

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

14:28 "You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, 

you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

14:29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.

14:30 I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. 

He has no hold on me,

14:31 but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father 

has commanded me. "Come now; let us leave. 

요21:10~25

21:10 예수께서 이르시되 지금 잡은 생선을 좀 가져오라 하시니  

21:11 시몬 베드로가 올라가서 그물을 육지에 끌어 올리니 가득히 찬 큰 물고기가 백쉰세 마리라 이같이 많으나 그물이 찢어지지 아니하였더라  

21:12 예수께서 이르시되 와서 조반을 먹으라 하시니 제자들이 주님이신 줄 아는 고로 당신이 누구냐 감히 묻는 자가 없더라  

21:13 예수께서 가셔서 떡을 가져다가 그들에게 주시고 생선도 그와 같이 하시니라  

21:14 이것은 예수께서 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나신 후에 세 번째로 제자들에게 나타나신 것이라 

21:15 그들이 조반 먹은 후에 예수께서 시몬 베드로에게 이르시되 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 이 사람들보다 나를 더 사랑하느냐 하시니 이르되 주님 그러하나이다 내가 주님을 사랑하는 줄 주님께서 아시나이다 이르시되 내 어린 양을 먹이라 하시고

21:18 내가 진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 네가 젊어서는 스스로 띠 띠고 원하는 곳으로 다녔거니와 늙어서는 네 팔을 벌리리니 남이 네게 띠 띠우고 원하지 아니하는 곳으로 데려가리라  

21:19 이 말씀을 하심은 베드로가 어떠한 죽음으로 하나님께 영광을 돌릴 것을 가리키심이러라 이 말씀을 하시고 베드로에게 이르시되 나를 따르라 하시니  

21:20 베드로가 돌이켜 예수께서 사랑하시는 그 제자가 따르는 것을 보니 그는 만찬석에서 예수의 품에 의지하여 주님 주님을 파는 자가 누구오니이까 묻던 자더라  

21:21 이에 베드로가 그를 보고 예수께 여짜오되 주님 이 사람은 어떻게 되겠사옵나이까  

21:22 예수께서 이르시되 내가 올 때까지 그를 머물게 하고자 할지라도 네게 무슨 상관이냐 너는 나를 따르라 하시더라  

21:23 이 말씀이 형제들에게 나가서 그 제자는 죽지 아니하겠다 하였으나 예수의 말씀은 그가 죽지 않겠다 하신 것이 아니라 내가 올 때까지 그를 머물게 하고자 할지라도 네게 무슨 상관이냐 하신 것이러라 

21:24 이 일들을 증언하고 이 일들을 기록한 제자가 이 사람이라 우리는 그의 증언이 참된 줄 아노라 

21:25 예수께서 행하신 일이 이 외에도 많으니 만일 낱낱이 기록된다면 이 세상이라도 이 기록된 책을 두기에 부족할 줄 아노라 

21:10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."

21:11 Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.

21:12 Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord.

21:13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

21:14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

21:15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."

21:16 Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."

21:17 The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.

21:18 I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."

21:19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!"

21:20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is going to betray you?")

21:21 When Peter saw him, he asked, "Lord, what about him?"

21:22 Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."

21:23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?"

21:24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

23:32 또 다른 두 행악자도 사형을 받게 되어 예수와 함께 끌려 가니라  

23:33 해골이라 하는 곳에 이르러 거기서 예수를 십자가에 못 박고 두 행악자도 그렇게 하니 

하나는 우편에, 하나는 좌편에 있더라  

23:34 이에 예수께서 이르시되 아버지 저들을 사하여 주옵소서 자기들이 하는 것을 

알지 못함이니이다 하시더라 그들이 그의 옷을 나눠 제비 뽑을새  

23:35 백성은 서서 구경하는데 관리들은 비웃어 이르되 저가 남을 구원하였으니 만일 

하나님이 택하신 자 그리스도이면 자신도 구원할지어다 하고  

23:36 군인들도 희롱하면서 나아와 신 포도주를 주며  

23:37 이르되 네가 만일 유대인의 왕이면 네가 너를 구원하라 하더라  

23:38 그의 위에 이는 유대인의 왕이라 쓴 패가 있더라 

23:39 달린 행악자 중 하나는 비방하여 이르되 네가 그리스도가 아니냐 너와 우리를 구원하라 하되  

23:40 하나는 그 사람을 꾸짖어 이르되 네가 동일한 정죄를 받고서도 하나님을 두려워하지 아니하느냐  

23:41 우리는 우리가 행한 일에 상당한 보응을 받는 것이니 이에 당연하거니와 

이 사람이 행한 것은 옳지 않은 것이 없느니라 하고  

23:42 이르되 예수여 당신의 나라에 임하실 때에 나를 기억하소서 하니  

23:43 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라 하시니라  

23:44 때가 제육시쯤 되어 해가 빛을 잃고 온 땅에 어둠이 임하여 제구시까지 계속하며  

23:45 성소의 휘장이 한가운데가 찢어지더라  

23:46 예수께서 큰 소리로 불러 이르시되 아버지 내 영혼을 아버지 손에 부탁하나이다 하고 

이 말씀을 하신 후 숨지시니라  

23:47 백부장이 그 된 일을 보고 하나님께 영광을 돌려 이르되 이 사람은 정녕 의인이었도다 하고  

23:48 이를 구경하러 모인 무리도 그 된 일을 보고 다 가슴을 치며 돌아가고  

23:49 예수를 아는 자들과 갈릴리로부터 따라온 여자들도 다 멀리 서서 이 일을 보니라  

23:50 공회 의원으로 선하고 의로운 요셉이라 하는 사람이 있으니

23:53 이를 내려 세마포로 싸고 아직 사람을 장사한 일이 없는 바위에 판 무덤에 넣어 두니  

23:54 이 날은 준비일이요 안식일이 거의 되었더라  

23:55 갈릴리에서 예수와 함께 온 여자들이 뒤를 따라 그 무덤과 그의 시체를 어떻게 두었는지를 보고  

23:56 돌아가 향품과 향유를 준비하더라 계명을 따라 안식일에 쉬더라 

23:32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.

23:33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, 

along with the criminals--one on his right, the other on his left.

23:34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." 

And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

23:35 The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, 

"He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One."

23:36 The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar

23:37 and said, "If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself."

23:38 There was a written notice above him, which read: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

23:39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: 

"Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"

23:40 But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, 

"since you are under the same sentence?

23:41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. 

But this man has done nothing wrong."

23:42 Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

23:43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

23:44 It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land 

until the ninth hour,

23:45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.

23:46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." 

When he had said this, he breathed his last.

23:47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, 

"Surely this was a righteous man."

23:48 When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, 

they beat their breasts and went away.

23:49 But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him 

from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

23:50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, 

a good and upright man,

23:51 who had not consented to their decision and action. 

He came from the Judean town of Arimathea and he was waiting for the kingdom of God.

23:52 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body.

23:53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, 

one in which no one had yet been laid.

23:54 It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.

23:55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and 

saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.

23:56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. 

But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment. 

막14:26~50

14:26 이에 그들이 찬미하고 감람 산으로 가니라 

14:27 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 너희가 다 나를 버리리라 이는 기록된 바 내가 목자를 치리니 

양들이 흩어지리라 하였음이니라  

14:28 그러나 내가 살아난 후에 너희보다 먼저 갈릴리로 가리라  

14:29 베드로가 여짜오되 다 버릴지라도 나는 그리하지 않겠나이다  

14:30 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 이 밤 닭이 두 번 울기 전에 

네가 세 번 나를 부인하리라  

14:31 베드로가 힘있게 말하되 내가 주와 함께 죽을지언정 주를 부인하지 않겠나이다 하고 

모든 제자도 이와 같이 말하니라 

14:32 그들이 겟세마네라 하는 곳에 이르매 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 내가 기도할 동안에 

너희는 여기 앉아 있으라 하시고  

14:33 베드로와 야고보와 요한을 데리고 가실새 심히 놀라시며 슬퍼하사  

14:34 말씀하시되 내 마음이 심히 고민하여 죽게 되었으니 너희는 여기 머물러 깨어 있으라 하시고  

14:35 조금 나아가사 땅에 엎드리어 될 수 있는 대로 이 때가 자기에게서 지나가기를 구하여  

14:36 이르시되 아빠 아버지여 아버지께는 모든 것이 가능하오니 이 잔을 내게서 옮기시옵소서 

그러나 나의 원대로 마시옵고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고  

14:37 돌아오사 제자들이 자는 것을 보시고 베드로에게 말씀하시되 시몬아 자느냐 

네가 한 시간도 깨어 있을 수 없더냐  

14:38 시험에 들지 않게 깨어 있어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고  

14:39 다시 나아가 동일한 말씀으로 기도하시고  

14:40 다시 오사 보신즉 그들이 자니 이는 그들의 눈이 심히 피곤함이라 

그들이 예수께 무엇으로 대답할 줄을 알지 못하더라  

14:41 세 번째 오사 그들에게 이르시되 이제는 자고 쉬라 그만 되었다 때가 왔도다 보라 

인자가 죄인의 손에 팔리느니라  

14:42 일어나라 함께 가자 보라 나를 파는 자가 가까이 왔느니라 

14:43 예수께서 말씀하실 때에 곧 열둘 중의 하나인 유다가 왔는데 

대제사장들과 서기관들과 장로들에게서 파송된 무리가 검과 몽치를 가지고 그와 함께 하였더라  

14:44 예수를 파는 자가 이미 그들과 군호를 짜 이르되 내가 입맞추는 자가 그이니 

그를 잡아 단단히 끌어 가라 하였는지라  

14:45 이에 와서 곧 예수께 나아와 랍비여 하고 입을 맞추니  

14:46 그들이 예수께 손을 대어 잡거늘  

14:47 곁에 서 있는 자 중의 한 사람이 칼을 빼어 대제사장의 종을 쳐 그 귀를 떨어뜨리니라  

14:48 예수께서 무리에게 말씀하여 이르시되 너희가 강도를 잡는 것 같이 검과 몽치를 가지고 

나를 잡으러 나왔느냐  

14:49 내가 날마다 너희와 함께 성전에 있으면서 가르쳤으되 너희가 나를 잡지 아니하였도다 

그러나 이는 성경을 이루려 함이니라 하시더라  

14:50 제자들이 다 예수를 버리고 도망하니라 

14:26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

14:27 "You will all fall away," Jesus told them, "for it is written: 

"'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'

14:28 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee."

14:29 Peter declared, "Even if all fall away, I will not."

14:30 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "today--yes, tonight--before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times."

14:31 But Peter insisted emphatically, "Even if I have to die with you, 

I will never disown you." And all the others said the same.

14:32 They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, 

"Sit here while I pray."

14:33 He took Peter, James and John along with him, 

and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled.

14:34 "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death," he said to them. 

"Stay here and keep watch."

14:35 Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed 

that if possible the hour might pass from him.

14:36 "Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. 

Yet not what I will, but what you will."

14:37 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Simon," 

he said to Peter, "are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?

14:38 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. 

The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

14:39 Once more he went away and prayed the same thing.

14:40 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, 

because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him.

14:41 Returning the third time, he said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? 

Enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

14:42 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!"

14:43 Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. 

With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, 

the teachers of the law, and the elders.

14:44 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: "The one I kiss is the man; 

arrest him and lead him away under guard."

14:45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Rabbi!" and kissed him.

14:46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him.

14:47 Then one of those standing near drew his sword and 

struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

14:48 "Am I leading a rebellion," said Jesus, "that you have come out with swords 

and clubs to capture me?

14:49 Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. 

But the Scriptures must be fulfilled."

14:50 Then everyone deserted him and fled.

창22:1~19

22:1 그 일 후에 하나님이 아브라함을 시험하시려고 그를 부르시되 아브라함아 하시니 그가 이르되 

내가 여기 있나이다  

22:2 여호와께서 이르시되 네 아들 네 사랑하는 독자 이삭을 데리고 모리아 땅으로 가서 

내가 네게 일러 준 한 산 거기서 그를 번제로 드리라  

22:3 아브라함이 아침에 일찍이 일어나 나귀에 안장을 지우고 두 종과 그의 아들 이삭을 데리고 

번제에 쓸 나무를 쪼개어 가지고 떠나 하나님이 자기에게 일러 주신 곳으로 가더니  

22:4 제삼일에 아브라함이 눈을 들어 그 곳을 멀리 바라본지라  

22:5 이에 아브라함이 종들에게 이르되 너희는 나귀와 함께 여기서 기다리라 

내가 아이와 함께 저기 가서 예배하고 우리가 너희에게로 돌아오리라 하고  

22:6 아브라함이 이에 번제 나무를 가져다가 그의 아들 이삭에게 지우고 자기는 불과 칼을 손에 들고 

두 사람이 동행하더니  

22:7 이삭이 그 아버지 아브라함에게 말하여 이르되 내 아버지여 하니 그가 이르되 내 아들아 

내가 여기 있노라 이삭이 이르되 불과 나무는 있거니와 번제할 어린 양은 어디 있나이까  

22:8 아브라함이 이르되 내 아들아 번제할 어린 양은 하나님이 자기를 위하여 친히 준비하시리라 하고 

두 사람이 함께 나아가서  

22:9 하나님이 그에게 일러 주신 곳에 이른지라 이에 아브라함이 그 곳에 제단을 쌓고 나무를 벌여 놓고 

그의 아들 이삭을 결박하여 제단 나무 위에 놓고  

22:10 손을 내밀어 칼을 잡고 그 아들을 잡으려 하니  

22:11 여호와의 사자가 하늘에서부터 그를 불러 이르시되 아브라함아 아브라함아 하시는지라 아브라함이 

이르되 내가 여기 있나이다 하매  

22:12 사자가 이르시되 그 아이에게 네 손을 대지 말라 그에게 아무 일도 하지 말라 

네가 네 아들 네 독자까지도 내게 아끼지 아니하였으니 내가 이제야 네가 하나님을 경외하는 줄을 아노라  

22:13 아브라함이 눈을 들어 살펴본즉 한 숫양이 뒤에 있는데 뿔이 수풀에 걸려 있는지라 

아브라함이 가서 그 숫양을 가져다가 아들을 대신하여 번제로 드렸더라  

22:14 아브라함이 그 땅 이름을 여호와 이레라 하였으므로 오늘날까지 사람들이 이르기를 여호와의 산에서 

준비되리라 하더라  

22:15 여호와의 사자가 하늘에서부터 두 번째 아브라함을 불러  

22:16 이르시되 여호와께서 이르시기를 내가 나를 가리켜 맹세하노니 네가 이같이 행하여 

네 아들 네 독자도 아끼지 아니하였은즉  

22:17 내가 네게 큰 복을 주고 네 씨가 크게 번성하여 하늘의 별과 같고 바닷가의 모래와 같게 하리니 

네 씨가 그 대적의 성문을 차지하리라  

22:18 또 네 씨로 말미암아 천하 만민이 복을 받으리니 이는 네가 나의 말을 준행하였음이니라 하셨다 하니라  

22:19 이에 아브라함이 그의 종들에게로 돌아가서 함께 떠나 브엘세바에 이르러 거기 거주하였더라  

22:1 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

22:2 Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."

22:3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, 

he set out for the place God had told him about.

22:4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

22:5 He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you."

22:6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together,

22:7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"

22:8 Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.

22:9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood.

22:10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

22:11 But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

22:12 "Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."

22:13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.

22:14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."

22:15 The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time

22:16 and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,

22:17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,

22:18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."

22:19 Then Abraham returned to his servants, and they set off together for Beersheba. And Abraham stayed in Beersheba.

18:15 "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, 

just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

18:16 But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, 

so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.'

18:17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; 

and if he refuses to listen even to the church,

treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

18:18 "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, 

and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

18:19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, 

it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

18:20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

18:21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 

"Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? 

Up to seven times?"

18:22 Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

18:23 "Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with 

his servants.

18:24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.

18:25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

18:26 "The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, '

and I will pay back everything.'

18:27 The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

18:28 "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants 

who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 

'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.

18:29 "His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him,

 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'

18:30 "But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison 

until he could pay the debt.

18:31 When the other servants saw what had happened, 

they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.

18:32 "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' 

he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to.

18:33 Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?'

18:34 In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, 

until he should pay back all he owed.

18:35 "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you 

unless you forgive your brother from your heart."
