15:11 또 이르시되 어떤 사람에게 두 아들이 있는데  

15:12 그 둘째가 아버지에게 말하되 아버지여 재산 중에서 내게 돌아올 분깃을 내게 주소서 하는지라 아버지가 그 살림을 각각 나눠 주었더니  

15:13 그 후 며칠이 안 되어 둘째 아들이 재물을 다 모아 가지고 먼 나라에 가 거기서 허랑방탕하여 그 재산을 낭비하더니  

15:14 다 없앤 후 그 나라에 크게 흉년이 들어 그가 비로소 궁핍한지라  

15:15 가서 그 나라 백성 중 한 사람에게 붙여 사니 그가 그를 들로 보내어 돼지를 치게 하였는데  

15:16 그가 돼지 먹는 쥐엄 열매로 배를 채우고자 하되 주는 자가 없는지라  

15:17 이에 스스로 돌이켜 이르되 내 아버지에게는 양식이 풍족한 품꾼이 얼마나 많은가 나는 여기서 주려 죽는구나  

15:18 내가 일어나 아버지께 가서 이르기를 아버지 내가 하늘과 아버지께 죄를 지었사오니  

15:19 지금부터는 아버지의 아들이라 일컬음을 감당하지 못하겠나이다 나를 품꾼의 하나로 보소서 하리라 하고  

15:20 이에 일어나서 아버지께로 돌아가니라 아직도 거리가 먼데 아버지가 그를 보고 측은히 여겨 달려가 목을 안고 입을 맞추니  

15:21 아들이 이르되 아버지 내가 하늘과 아버지께 죄를 지었사오니 지금부터는 아버지의 아들이라 일컬음을 감당하지 못하겠나이다 하나  

15:22 아버지는 종들에게 이르되 제일 좋은 옷을 내어다가 입히고 손에 가락지를 끼우고 발에 신을 신기라  

15:23 그리고 살진 송아지를 끌어다가 잡으라 우리가 먹고 즐기자  

15:24 이 내 아들은 죽었다가 다시 살아났으며 내가 잃었다가 다시 얻었노라 하니 그들이 즐거워하더라  

15:25 맏아들은 밭에 있다가 돌아와 집에 가까이 왔을 때에 풍악과 춤추는 소리를 듣고  

15:26 한 종을 불러 이 무슨 일인가 물은대  

15:27 대답하되 당신의 동생이 돌아왔으매 당신의 아버지가 건강한 그를 다시 맞아들이게 됨으로 인하여 살진 송아지를 잡았나이다 하니  

15:28 그가 노하여 들어가고자 하지 아니하거늘 아버지가 나와서 권한대  

15:29 아버지께 대답하여 이르되 내가 여러 해 아버지를 섬겨 명을 어김이 없거늘 내게는 염소 새끼라도 주어 나와 내 벗으로 즐기게 하신 일이 없더니  

15:30 아버지의 살림을 창녀들과 함께 삼켜 버린 이 아들이 돌아오매 이를 위하여 살진 송아지를 잡으셨나이다  

15:31 아버지가 이르되 얘 너는 항상 나와 함께 있으니 내 것이 다 네 것이로되  

15:32 이 네 동생은 죽었다가 살아났으며 내가 잃었다가 얻었기로 우리가 즐거워하고 기뻐하는 것이 마땅하다 하니라 

15:11 Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons.

15:12 The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.

15:13 "Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.

15:14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.

15:15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.

15:16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

15:17 "When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!

15:18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

15:19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'

15:20 So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

15:21 "The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

15:22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.

15:23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.

15:24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

15:25 "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.

15:26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on.

15:27 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'

15:28 "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.

15:29 But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.

15:30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'

15:31 "'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

15:32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'" 

10:15 또한 성령이 우리에게 증언하시되  

10:16 주께서 이르시되 그 날 후로는 그들과 맺을 언약이 이것이라 하시고 내 법을 그들의 마음에 두고 그들의 생각에 기록하리라 하신 후에  

10:17 또 그들의 죄와 그들의 불법을 내가 다시 기억하지 아니하리라 하셨으니  

10:18 이것들을 사하셨은즉 다시 죄를 위하여 제사 드릴 것이 없느니라  

10:19 그러므로 형제들아 우리가 예수의 피를 힘입어 성소에 들어갈 담력을 얻었나니  

10:20 그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새로운 살 길이요 휘장은 곧 그의 육체니라  

10:21 또 하나님의 집 다스리는 큰 제사장이 계시매  

10:22 우리가 마음에 뿌림을 받아 악한 양심으로부터 벗어나고 몸은 맑은 물로 씻음을 받았으니 참 마음과 온전한 믿음으로 하나님께 나아가자  

10:23 또 약속하신 이는 미쁘시니 우리가 믿는 도리의 소망을 움직이지 말며 굳게 잡고  

10:24 서로 돌아보아 사랑과 선행을 격려하며  

10:25 모이기를 폐하는 어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 하지 말고 오직 권하여 그 날이 가까움을 볼수록 더욱 그리하자  

10:26 우리가 진리를 아는 지식을 받은 후 짐짓 죄를 범한즉 다시 속죄하는 제사가 없고  

10:27 오직 무서운 마음으로 심판을 기다리는 것과 대적하는 자를 태울 맹렬한 불만 있으리라  

10:28 모세의 법을 폐한 자도 두세 증인으로 말미암아 불쌍히 여김을 받지 못하고 죽었거든  

10:29 하물며 하나님의 아들을 짓밟고 자기를 거룩하게 한 언약의 피를 부정한 것으로 여기고 은혜의 성령을 욕되게 하는 자가 당연히 받을 형벌은 얼마나 더 무겁겠느냐 너희는 생각하라  

10:30 원수 갚는 것이 내게 있으니 내가 갚으리라 하시고 또 다시 주께서 그의 백성을 심판하리라 말씀하신 것을 우리가 아노니  

10:31 살아 계신 하나님의 손에 빠져 들어가는 것이 무서울진저  

10:32 전날에 너희가 빛을 받은 후에 고난의 큰 싸움을 견디어 낸 것을 생각하라  

10:33 혹은 비방과 환난으로써 사람에게 구경거리가 되고 혹은 이런 형편에 있는 자들과 사귀는 자가 되었으니  

10:34 너희가 갇힌 자를 동정하고 너희 소유를 빼앗기는 것도 기쁘게 당한 것은 더 낫고 영구한 소유가 있는 줄 앎이라  

10:35 그러므로 너희 담대함을 버리지 말라 이것이 큰 상을 얻게 하느니라  

10:36 너희에게 인내가 필요함은 너희가 하나님의 뜻을 행한 후에 약속하신 것을 받기 위함이라  

10:37 잠시 잠깐 후면 오실 이가 오시리니 지체하지 아니하시리라  

10:38 나의 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 또한 뒤로 물러가면 내 마음이 그를 기뻐하지 아니하리라 하셨느니라  

10:39 우리는 뒤로 물러가 멸망할 자가 아니요 오직 영혼을 구원함에 이르는 믿음을 가진 자니라

10:15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

10:16 "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."

10:17 Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."

10:18 And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.

10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,

10:20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,

10:21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

10:24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,

10:27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

10:28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

10:29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

10:30 For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people."

10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

10:32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.

10:33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.

10:34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

10:37 For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay.

10:38 But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him."

10:39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. 

24:25 이르시되 미련하고 선지자들이 말한 모든 것을 마음에 더디 믿는 자들이여  

24:26 그리스도가 이런 고난을 받고 자기의 영광에 들어가야 할 것이 아니냐 하시고  

24:27 이에 모세와 모든 선지자의 글로 시작하여 모든 성경에 쓴 바 자기에 관한 것을 자세히 설명하시니라  

24:28 그들이 가는 마을에 가까이 가매 예수는 더 가려 하는 것 같이 하시니  

24:29 그들이 강권하여 이르되 우리와 함께 유하사이다 때가 저물어가고 날이 이미 기울었나이다 하니 이에 그들과 함께 유하러 들어가시니라  

24:30 그들과 함께 음식 잡수실 때에 떡을 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 그들에게 주시니  

24:31 그들의 눈이 밝아져 그인 줄 알아 보더니 예수는 그들에게 보이지 아니하시는지라  

24:32 그들이 서로 말하되 길에서 우리에게 말씀하시고 우리에게 성경을 풀어 주실 때에 우리 속에서 마음이 뜨겁지 아니하더냐 하고  

24:33 곧 그 때로 일어나 예루살렘에 돌아가 보니 열한 제자 및 그들과 함께 한 자들이 모여 있어  

24:34 말하기를 주께서 과연 살아나시고 시몬에게 보이셨다 하는지라  

24:35 두 사람도 길에서 된 일과 예수께서 떡을 떼심으로 자기들에게 알려지신 것을 말하더라 

24:36 이 말을 할 때에 예수께서 친히 그들 가운데 서서 이르시되 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 하시니  

24:37 그들이 놀라고 무서워하여 그 보는 것을 영으로 생각하는지라  

24:38 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 두려워하며 어찌하여 마음에 의심이 일어나느냐  

24:39 내 손과 발을 보고 나인 줄 알라 또 나를 만져 보라 영은 살과 뼈가 없으되 너희 보는 바와 같이 나는 있느니라  

24:40 이 말씀을 하시고 손과 발을 보이시나  

24:41 그들이 너무 기쁘므로 아직도 믿지 못하고 놀랍게 여길 때에 이르시되 여기 무슨 먹을 것이 있느냐 하시니  

24:42 이에 구운 생선 한 토막을 드리니  

24:43 받으사 그 앞에서 잡수시더라 

24:44 또 이르시되 내가 너희와 함께 있을 때에 너희에게 말한 바 곧 모세의 율법과 선지자의 글과 시편에 나를 가리켜 기록된 모든 것이 이루어져야 하리라 한 말이 이것이라 하시고  

24:45 이에 그들의 마음을 열어 성경을 깨닫게 하시고  

24:46 또 이르시되 이같이 그리스도가 고난을 받고 제삼일에 죽은 자 가운데서 살아날 것과  

24:47 또 그의 이름으로 죄 사함을 받게 하는 회개가 예루살렘에서 시작하여 모든 족속에게 전파될 것이 기록되었으니  

24:48 너희는 이 모든 일의 증인이라  

24:49 볼지어다 내가 내 아버지께서 약속하신 것을 너희에게 보내리니 너희는 위로부터 능력으로 입혀질 때까지 이 성에 머물라 하시니라 

24:50 예수께서 그들을 데리고 베다니 앞까지 나가사 손을 들어 그들에게 축복하시더니  

24:51 축복하실 때에 그들을 떠나 [하늘로 올려지시니]  

24:52 그들이 [그에게 경배하고] 큰 기쁨으로 예루살렘에 돌아가  

24:53 늘 성전에서 하나님을 찬송하니라

24:25 He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

24:26 Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?"

24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

24:28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther.

24:29 But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them.

24:30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.

24:31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.

24:32 They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

24:33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together

24:34 and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon."

24:35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.

24:36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."

24:37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.

24:38 He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?

24:39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."

24:40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.

24:41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?"

24:42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

24:43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.

24:44 He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."

24:45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

24:46 He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

24:47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

24:48 You are witnesses of these things.

24:49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."

24:50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.

24:51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.

24:52 Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

24:53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God. 
 

11:17 예수께서 와서 보시니 나사로가 무덤에 있은 지 이미 나흘이라  

11:18 베다니는 예루살렘에서 가깝기가 한 오 리쯤 되매  

11:19 많은 유대인이 마르다와 마리아에게 그 오라비의 일로 위문하러 왔더니  

11:20 마르다는 예수께서 오신다는 말을 듣고 곧 나가 맞이하되 마리아는 집에 앉았더라  

11:21 마르다가 예수께 여짜오되 주께서 여기 계셨더라면 내 오라버니가 죽지 아니하였겠나이다  

11:22 그러나 나는 이제라도 주께서 무엇이든지 하나님께 구하시는 것을 하나님이 주실 줄을 아나이다  

11:23 예수께서 이르시되 네 오라비가 다시 살아나리라  

11:24 마르다가 이르되 마지막 날 부활 때에는 다시 살아날 줄을 내가 아나이다  

11:25 예수께서 이르시되 나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고  

11:26 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐  

11:27 이르되 주여 그러하외다 주는 그리스도시요 세상에 오시는 하나님의 아들이신 줄 내가 믿나이다  

11:28 이 말을 하고 돌아가서 가만히 그 자매 마리아를 불러 말하되 선생님이 오셔서 너를 부르신다 하니  

11:29 마리아가 이 말을 듣고 급히 일어나 예수께 나아가매  

11:30 예수는 아직 마을로 들어오지 아니하시고 마르다가 맞이했던 곳에 그대로 계시더라  

11:31 마리아와 함께 집에 있어 위로하던 유대인들은 그가 급히 일어나 나가는 것을 보고 곡하러 무덤에 가는 줄로 생각하고 따라가더니  

11:32 마리아가 예수 계신 곳에 가서 뵈옵고 그 발 앞에 엎드리어 이르되 주께서 여기 계셨더라면 내 오라버니가 죽지 아니하였겠나이다 하더라  

11:33 예수께서 그가 우는 것과 또 함께 온 유대인들이 우는 것을 보시고 심령에 비통히 여기시고 불쌍히 여기사  

11:34 이르시되 그를 어디 두었느냐 이르되 주여 와서 보옵소서 하니  

11:35 예수께서 눈물을 흘리시더라  

11:36 이에 유대인들이 말하되 보라 그를 얼마나 사랑하셨는가 하며  

11:37 그 중 어떤 이는 말하되 맹인의 눈을 뜨게 한 이 사람이 그 사람은 죽지 않게 할 수 없었더냐 하더라  

11:38 이에 예수께서 다시 속으로 비통히 여기시며 무덤에 가시니 무덤이 굴이라 돌로 막았거늘  

11:39 예수께서 이르시되 돌을 옮겨 놓으라 하시니 그 죽은 자의 누이 마르다가 이르되 주여 죽은 지가 나흘이 되었으매 벌써 냄새가 나나이다  

11:40 예수께서 이르시되 내 말이 네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 보리라 하지 아니하였느냐 하시니  

11:41 돌을 옮겨 놓으니 예수께서 눈을 들어 우러러 보시고 이르시되 아버지여 내 말을 들으신 것을 감사하나이다  

11:42 항상 내 말을 들으시는 줄을 내가 알았나이다 그러나 이 말씀 하옵는 것은 둘러선 무리를 위함이니 곧 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 그들로 믿게 하려 함이니이다  

11:43 이 말씀을 하시고 큰 소리로 나사로야 나오라 부르시니  

11:44 죽은 자가 수족을 베로 동인 채로 나오는데 그 얼굴은 수건에 싸였더라 예수께서 이르시되 풀어 놓아 다니게 하라 하시니라 

11:17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.

11:18 Bethany was less than two miles from Jerusalem,

11:19 and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother.

11:20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.

11:21 "Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

11:22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask."

11:23 Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."

11:24 Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

11:26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

11:27 "Yes, Lord," she told him, "I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."

11:28 And after she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary aside. "The Teacher is here," she said, "and is asking for you."

11:29 When Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to him.

11:30 Now Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha had met him.

11:31 When the Jews who had been with Mary in the house, comforting her, noticed how quickly she got up and went out, they followed her, supposing she was going to the tomb to mourn there.

11:32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died."

11:33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.

11:34 "Where have you laid him?" he asked. "Come and see, Lord," they replied.

11:35 Jesus wept.

11:36 Then the Jews said, "See how he loved him!"

11:37 But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?"

11:38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.

11:39 "Take away the stone," he said. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days."

11:40 Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"

11:41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

11:42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me."

11:43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"

11:44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."

11:1 속이는 저울은 여호와께서 미워하시나 공평한 추는 그가 기뻐하시느니라  

11:2 교만이 오면 욕도 오거니와 겸손한 자에게는 지혜가 있느니라  

11:3 정직한 자의 성실은 자기를 인도하거니와 사악한 자의 패역은 자기를 망하게 하느니라  

11:4 재물은 진노하시는 날에 무익하나 공의는 죽음에서 건지느니라  

11:5 완전한 자의 공의는 자기의 길을 곧게 하려니와 악한 자는 자기의 악으로 말미암아 넘어지리라  

11:6 정직한 자의 공의는 자기를 건지려니와 사악한 자는 자기의 악에 잡히리라  

11:7 악인은 죽을 때에 그 소망이 끊어지나니 불의의 소망이 없어지느니라  

11:8 의인은 환난에서 구원을 얻으나 악인은 자기의 길로 가느니라  

11:9 악인은 입으로 그의 이웃을 망하게 하여도 의인은 그의 지식으로 말미암아 구원을 얻느니라  

11:10 의인이 형통하면 성읍이 즐거워하고 악인이 패망하면 기뻐 외치느니라  

11:11 성읍은 정직한 자의 축복으로 인하여 진흥하고 악한 자의 입으로 말미암아 무너지느니라  

11:12 지혜 없는 자는 그의 이웃을 멸시하나 명철한 자는 잠잠하느니라  

11:13 두루 다니며 한담하는 자는 남의 비밀을 누설하나 마음이 신실한 자는 그런 것을 숨기느니라  

11:14 지략이 없으면 백성이 망하여도 지략이 많으면 평안을 누리느니라  

11:15 타인을 위하여 보증이 되는 자는 손해를 당하여도 보증이 되기를 싫어하는 자는 평안하니라  

11:16 유덕한 여자는 존영을 얻고 근면한 남자는 재물을 얻느니라  

11:17 인자한 자는 자기의 영혼을 이롭게 하고 잔인한 자는 자기의 몸을 해롭게 하느니라  

11:18 악인의 삯은 허무하되 공의를 뿌린 자의 상은 확실하니라  

11:19 공의를 굳게 지키는 자는 생명에 이르고 악을 따르는 자는 사망에 이르느니라  

11:20 마음이 굽은 자는 여호와께 미움을 받아도 행위가 온전한 자는 그의 기뻐하심을 받느니라  

11:21 악인은 피차 손을 잡을지라도 벌을 면하지 못할 것이나 의인의 자손은 구원을 얻으리라  

11:22 아름다운 여인이 삼가지 아니하는 것은 마치 돼지 코에 금 고리 같으니라  

11:23 의인의 소원은 오직 선하나 악인의 소망은 진노를 이루느니라  

11:24 흩어 구제하여도 더욱 부하게 되는 일이 있나니 과도히 아껴도 가난하게 될 뿐이니라  

11:25 구제를 좋아하는 자는 풍족하여질 것이요 남을 윤택하게 하는 자는 자기도 윤택하여지리라  

11:26 곡식을 내놓지 아니하는 자는 백성에게 저주를 받을 것이나 파는 자는 그의 머리에 복이 임하리라  

11:27 선을 간절히 구하는 자는 은총을 얻으려니와 악을 더듬어 찾는 자에게는 악이 임하리라  

11:28 자기의 재물을 의지하는 자는 패망하려니와 의인은 푸른 잎사귀 같아서 번성하리라  

11:29 자기 집을 해롭게 하는 자의 소득은 바람이라 미련한 자는 마음이 지혜로운 자의 종이 되리라  

11:30 의인의 열매는 생명 나무라 지혜로운 자는 사람을 얻느니라  

11:31 보라 의인이라도 이 세상에서 보응을 받겠거든 하물며 악인과 죄인이리요 

11:1 The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight.

11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

11:3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.

11:4 Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

11:5 The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.

11:6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.

11:7 When a wicked man dies, his hope perishes; all he expected from his power comes to nothing.

11:8 The righteous man is rescued from trouble, and it comes on the wicked instead.

11:9 With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape.

11:10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.

11:11 Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.

11:12 A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue.

11:13 A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.

11:14 For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.

11:15 He who puts up security for another will surely suffer, but whoever refuses to strike hands in pledge is safe.

11:16 A kindhearted woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.

11:17 A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself.

11:18 The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

11:19 The truly righteous man attains life, but he who pursues evil goes to his death.

11:20 The LORD detests men of perverse heart but he delights in those whose ways are blameless.

11:21 Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free.

11:22 Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.

11:23 The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.

11:24 One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

11:25 A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

11:26 People curse the man who hoards grain, but blessing crowns him who is willing to sell.

11:27 He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it.

11:28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

11:29 He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.

11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

11:31 If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner! 

4:1 그러나 성령이 밝히 말씀하시기를 후일에 어떤 사람들이 믿음에서 떠나 미혹하는 영과 귀신의 가르침을 따르리라 하셨으니  

4:2 자기 양심이 화인을 맞아서 외식함으로 거짓말하는 자들이라  

4:3 혼인을 금하고 어떤 음식물은 먹지 말라고 할 터이나 음식물은 하나님이 지으신 바니 믿는 자들과 진리를 아는 자들이 감사함으로 받을 것이니라  

4:4 하나님께서 지으신 모든 것이 선하매 감사함으로 받으면 버릴 것이 없나니  

4:5 하나님의 말씀과 기도로 거룩하여짐이라  

4:6 네가 이것으로 형제를 깨우치면 그리스도 예수의 좋은 일꾼이 되어 믿음의 말씀과 네가 따르는 좋은 교훈으로 양육을 받으리라  

4:7 망령되고 허탄한 신화를 버리고 경건에 이르도록 네 자신을 연단하라  

4:8 육체의 연단은 약간의 유익이 있으나 경건은 범사에 유익하니 금생과 내생에 약속이 있느니라  

4:9 미쁘다 이 말이여 모든 사람들이 받을 만하도다  

4:10 이를 위하여 우리가 수고하고 힘쓰는 것은 우리 소망을 살아 계신 하나님께 둠이니 곧 모든 사람 특히 믿는 자들의 구주시라  

4:11 너는 이것들을 명하고 가르치라  

4:12 누구든지 네 연소함을 업신여기지 못하게 하고 오직 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절에 있어서 믿는 자에게 본이 되어  

4:13 내가 이를 때까지 읽는 것과 권하는 것과 가르치는 것에 전념하라  

4:14 네 속에 있는 은사 곧 장로의 회에서 안수 받을 때에 예언을 통하여 받은 것을 가볍게 여기지 말며  

4:15 이 모든 일에 전심 전력하여 너의 성숙함을 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하라  

4:16 네가 네 자신과 가르침을 살펴 이 일을 계속하라 이것을 행함으로 네 자신과 네게 듣는 자를 구원하리라 

4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

4:2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

4:3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

4:4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

4:5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

4:6 If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.

4:7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.

4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

4:9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance

4:10 (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.

4:11 Command and teach these things.

4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

4:13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.

4:14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

4:15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 

1. 말씀 = 고후7:1~16

7:1 그런즉 사랑하는 자들아 이 약속을 가진 우리는 하나님을 두려워하는 가운데서 거룩함을 온전히 이루어 육과 영의 온갖 더러운 것에서 자신을 깨끗하게 하자  

7:2 마음으로 우리를 영접하라 우리는 아무에게도 불의를 행하지 않고 아무에게도 해롭게 하지 않고 아무에게서도 속여 빼앗은 일이 없노라  

7:3 내가 이 말을 하는 것은 너희를 정죄하려고 하는 것이 아니라 내가 이전에 말하였거니와 너희가 우리 마음에 있어 함께 죽고 함께 살게 하고자 함이라  

7:4 나는 너희를 향하여 담대한 것도 많고 너희를 위하여 자랑하는 것도 많으니 내가 우리의 모든 환난 가운데서도 위로가 가득하고 기쁨이 넘치는도다  

7:5 우리가 마게도냐에 이르렀을 때에도 우리 육체가 편하지 못하였고 사방으로 환난을 당하여 밖으로는 다툼이요 안으로는 두려움이었노라  

7:6 그러나 낙심한 자들을 위로하시는 하나님이 디도가 옴으로 우리를 위로하셨으니  

7:7 그가 온 것뿐 아니요 오직 그가 너희에게서 받은 그 위로로 위로하고 너희의 사모함과 애통함과 나를 위하여 열심 있는 것을 우리에게 보고함으로 나를 더욱 기쁘게 하였느니라  

7:8 그러므로 내가 편지로 너희를 근심하게 한 것을 후회하였으나 지금은 후회하지 아니함은 그 편지가 너희로 잠시만 근심하게 한 줄을 앎이라  

7:9 내가 지금 기뻐함은 너희로 근심하게 한 까닭이 아니요 도리어 너희가 근심함으로 회개함에 이른 까닭이라 너희가 하나님의 뜻대로 근심하게 된 것은 우리에게서 아무 해도 받지 않게 하려 함이라  

7:10 하나님의 뜻대로 하는 근심은 후회할 것이 없는 구원에 이르게 하는 회개를 이루는 것이요 세상 근심은 사망을 이루는 것이니라  

7:11 보라 하나님의 뜻대로 하게 된 이 근심이 너희로 얼마나 간절하게 하며 얼마나 변증하게 하며 얼마나 분하게 하며 얼마나 두렵게 하며 얼마나 사모하게 하며 얼마나 열심 있게 하며 얼마나 벌하게 하였는가 너희가 그 일에 대하여 일체 너희 자신의 깨끗함을 나타내었느니라  

7:12 그런즉 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 그 불의를 행한 자를 위한 것도 아니요 그 불의를 당한 자를 위한 것도 아니요 오직 우리를 위한 너희의 간절함이 하나님 앞에서 너희에게 나타나게 하려 함이로라  

7:13 이로 말미암아 우리가 위로를 받았고 우리가 받은 위로 위에 디도의 기쁨으로 우리가 더욱 많이 기뻐함은 그의 마음이 너희 무리로 말미암아 안심함을 얻었음이라  

7:14 내가 그에게 너희를 위하여 자랑한 것이 있더라도 부끄럽지 아니하니 우리가 너희에게 이른 말이 다 참된 것 같이 디도 앞에서 우리가 자랑한 것도 참되게 되었도다  

7:15 그가 너희 모든 사람들이 두려움과 떪으로 자기를 영접하여 순종한 것을 생각하고 너희를 향하여 그의 심정이 더욱 깊었으니  

7:16 내가 범사에 너희를 신뢰하게 된 것을 기뻐하노라 

2. NIV

7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

7:2 Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one.

7:3 I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you.

7:4 I have great confidence in you; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.

7:5 For when we came into Macedonia, this body of ours had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn--conflicts on the outside, fears within.

7:6 But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus,

7:7 and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.

7:8 Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it--I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while--

7:9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us.

7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

7:11 See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

7:12 So even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did the wrong or of the injured party, but rather that before God you could see for yourselves how devoted to us you are.

7:13 By all this we are encouraged. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you.

7:14 I had boasted to him about you, and you have not embarrassed me. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting about you to Titus has proved to be true as well.

7:15 And his affection for you is all the greater when he remembers that you were all obedient, receiving him with fear and trembling.

7:16 I am glad I can have complete confidence in you. 

1. 출18:5~23

18:5 모세의 장인 이드로가 모세의 아들들과 그의 아내와 더불어 광야에 들어와 모세에게 이르니 곧 모세가 하나님의 산에 진 친 곳이라

18:6 그가 모세에게 말을 전하되 네 장인 나 이드로가 네 아내와 그와 함께 한 그의 두 아들과 더불어 네게 왔노라  

18:7 모세가 나가서 그의 장인을 맞아 절하고 그에게 입 맞추고 그들이 서로 문안하고 함께 장막에 들어가서  

18:8 모세가 여호와께서 이스라엘을 위하여 바로와 애굽 사람에게 행하신 모든 일과 길에서 그들이 당한 모든 고난과 여호와께서 그들을 구원하신 일을 다 그 장인에게 말하매  

18:9 이드로가 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 큰 은혜를 베푸사 애굽 사람의 손에서 구원하심을 기뻐하여  

18:10 이드로가 이르되 여호와를 찬송하리로다 너희를 애굽 사람의 손에서와 바로의 손에서 건져내시고 백성을 애굽 사람의 손 아래에서 건지셨도다  

18:11 이제 내가 알았도다 여호와는 모든 신보다 크시므로 이스라엘에게 교만하게 행하는 그들을 이기셨도다 하고  

18:12 모세의 장인 이드로가 번제물과 희생제물들을 하나님께 가져오매 아론과 이스라엘 모든 장로가 와서 모세의 장인과 함께 하나님 앞에서 떡을 먹으니라  

18:13 이튿날 모세가 백성을 재판하느라고 앉아 있고 백성은 아침부터 저녁까지 모세 곁에 서 있는지라  

18:14 모세의 장인이 모세가 백성에게 행하는 모든 일을 보고 이르되 네가 이 백성에게 행하는 이 일이 어찌 됨이냐 어찌하여 네가 홀로 앉아 있고 백성은 아침부터 저녁까지 네 곁에 서 있느냐  

18:15 모세가 그의 장인에게 대답하되 백성이 하나님께 물으려고 내게로 옴이라  

18:16 그들이 일이 있으면 내게로 오나니 내가 그 양쪽을 재판하여 하나님의 율례와 법도를 알게 하나이다  

18:17 모세의 장인이 그에게 이르되 네가 하는 것이 옳지 못하도다  

18:18 너와 또 너와 함께 한 이 백성이 필경 기력이 쇠하리니 이 일이 네게 너무 중함이라 네가 혼자 할 수 없으리라  

18:19 이제 내 말을 들으라 내가 네게 방침을 가르치리니 하나님이 너와 함께 계실지로다 너는 하나님 앞에서 그 백성을 위하여 그 사건들을 하나님께 가져오며  

18:20 그들에게 율례와 법도를 가르쳐서 마땅히 갈 길과 할 일을 그들에게 보이고  

18:21 너는 또 온 백성 가운데서 능력 있는 사람들 곧 하나님을 두려워하며 진실하며 불의한 이익을 미워하는 자를 살펴서 백성 위에 세워 천부장과 백부장과 오십부장과 십부장을 삼아  

18:22 그들이 때를 따라 백성을 재판하게 하라 큰 일은 모두 네게 가져갈 것이요 작은 일은 모두 그들이 스스로 재판할 것이니 그리하면 그들이 너와 함께 담당할 것인즉 일이 네게 쉬우리라  

18:23 네가 만일 이 일을 하고 하나님께서도 네게 허락하시면 네가 이 일을 감당하고 이 모든 백성도 자기 곳으로 평안히 가리라  

2. NIV

18:5 Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, together with Moses' sons and wife, came to him in the desert, where he was camped near the mountain of God.

18:6 Jethro had sent word to him, "I, your father-in-law Jethro, am coming to you with your wife and her two sons."

18:7 So Moses went out to meet his father-in-law and bowed down and kissed him. They greeted each other and then went into the tent.

18:8 Moses told his father-in-law about everything the LORD had done to Pharaoh and the Egyptians for Israel's sake and about all the hardships they had met along the way and how the LORD had saved them.

18:9 Jethro was delighted to hear about all the good things the LORD had done for Israel in rescuing them from the hand of the Egyptians.

18:10 He said, "Praise be to the LORD, who rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and of Pharaoh, and who rescued the people from the hand of the Egyptians.

18:11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly."

18:12 Then Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, brought a burnt offering and other sacrifices to God, and Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat bread with Moses' father-in-law in the presence of God.

18:13 The next day Moses took his seat to serve as judge for the people, and they stood around him from morning till evening.

18:14 When his father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he said, "What is this you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit as judge, while all these people stand around you from morning till evening?"

18:15 Moses answered him, "Because the people come to me to seek God's will.

18:16 Whenever they have a dispute, it is brought to me, and I decide between the parties and inform them of God's decrees and laws."

18:17 Moses' father-in-law replied, "What you are doing is not good.

18:18 You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone.

18:19 Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people's representative before God and bring their disputes to him.

18:20 Teach them the decrees and laws, and show them the way to live and the duties they are to perform.

18:21 But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain--and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

18:22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you.

18:23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied."

요일5:1~21

5:1 예수께서 그리스도이심을 믿는 자마다 하나님께로부터 난 자니 또한 낳으신 이를 사랑하는 자마다 그에게서 난 자를 사랑하느니라  

5:2 우리가 하나님을 사랑하고 그의 계명들을 지킬 때에 이로써 우리가 하나님의 자녀를 사랑하는 줄을 아느니라  

5:3 하나님을 사랑하는 것은 이것이니 우리가 그의 계명들을 지키는 것이라 그의 계명들은 무거운 것이 아니로다  

5:4 무릇 하나님께로부터 난 자마다 세상을 이기느니라 세상을 이기는 승리는 이것이니 우리의 믿음이니라  

5:5 예수께서 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는 자가 아니면 세상을 이기는 자가 누구냐  

5:6 이는 물과 피로 임하신 이시니 곧 예수 그리스도시라 물로만 아니요 물과 피로 임하셨고 증언하는 이는 성령이시니 성령은 진리니라  

5:7 증언하는 이가 셋이니  

5:8 성령과 물과 피라 또한 이 셋은 합하여 하나이니라  

5:9 만일 우리가 사람들의 증언을 받을진대 하나님의 증거는 더욱 크도다 하나님의 증거는 이것이니 그의 아들에 대하여 증언하신 것이니라  

5:10 하나님의 아들을 믿는 자는 자기 안에 증거가 있고 하나님을 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님을 거짓말하는 자로 만드나니 이는 하나님께서 그 아들에 대하여 증언하신 증거를 믿지 아니하였음이라  

5:11 또 증거는 이것이니 하나님이 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는 그것이니라  

5:12 아들이 있는 자에게는 생명이 있고 하나님의 아들이 없는 자에게는 생명이 없느니라 

5:13 내가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이것을 쓰는 것은 너희로 하여금 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려 함이라  

5:14 그를 향하여 우리가 가진 바 담대함이 이것이니 그의 뜻대로 무엇을 구하면 들으심이라  

5:15 우리가 무엇이든지 구하는 바를 들으시는 줄을 안즉 우리가 그에게 구한 그것을 얻은 줄을 또한 아느니라  

5:16 누구든지 형제가 사망에 이르지 아니하는 죄 범하는 것을 보거든 구하라 그리하면 사망에 이르지 아니하는 범죄자들을 위하여 그에게 생명을 주시리라 사망에 이르는 죄가 있으니 이에 관하여 나는 구하라 하지 않노라  

5:17 모든 불의가 죄로되 사망에 이르지 아니하는 죄도 있도다 

5:18 하나님께로부터 난 자는 다 범죄하지 아니하는 줄을 우리가 아노라 하나님께로부터 나신 자가 그를 지키시매 악한 자가 그를 만지지도 못하느니라  

5:19 또 아는 것은 우리는 하나님께 속하고 온 세상은 악한 자 안에 처한 것이며  

5:20 또 아는 것은 하나님의 아들이 이르러 우리에게 지각을 주사 우리로 참된 자를 알게 하신 것과 또한 우리가 참된 자 곧 그의 아들 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 것이니 그는 참 하나님이시요 영생이시라  

5:21 자녀들아 너희 자신을 지켜 우상에게서 멀리하라 

2. NIV

5:1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

5:2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

5:3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

5:5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

5:7 For there are three that testify:

5:8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

5:9 We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

5:10 Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.

5:11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

5:15 And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.

5:16 If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that.

5:17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.

5:19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

5:20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

5:21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 

요일3:1~18

3:1 보라 아버지께서 어떠한 사랑을 우리에게 베푸사 하나님의 자녀라 일컬음을 받게 하셨는가, 우리가 그러하도다 그러므로 세상이 우리를 알지 못함은 그를 알지 못함이라  

3:2 사랑하는 자들아 우리가 지금은 하나님의 자녀라 장래에 어떻게 될지는 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타나시면 우리가 그와 같을 줄을 아는 것은 그의 참모습 그대로 볼 것이기 때문이니  

3:3 주를 향하여 이 소망을 가진 자마다 그의 깨끗하심과 같이 자기를 깨끗하게 하느니라  

3:4 죄를 짓는 자마다 불법을 행하나니 죄는 불법이라  

3:5 그가 우리 죄를 없애려고 나타나신 것을 너희가 아나니 그에게는 죄가 없느니라  

3:6 그 안에 거하는 자마다 범죄하지 아니하나니 범죄하는 자마다 그를 보지도 못하였고 그를 알지도 못하였느니라  

3:7 자녀들아 아무도 너희를 미혹하지 못하게 하라 의를 행하는 자는 그의 의로우심과 같이 의롭고  

3:8 죄를 짓는 자는 마귀에게 속하나니 마귀는 처음부터 범죄함이라 하나님의 아들이 나타나신 것은 마귀의 일을 멸하려 하심이라  

3:9 하나님께로부터 난 자마다 죄를 짓지 아니하나니 이는 하나님의 씨가 그의 속에 거함이요 그도 범죄하지 못하는 것은 하나님께로부터 났음이라  

3:10 이러므로 하나님의 자녀들과 마귀의 자녀들이 드러나나니 무릇 의를 행하지 아니하는 자나 또는 그 형제를 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 하나님께 속하지 아니하니라  

3:11 우리는 서로 사랑할지니 이는 너희가 처음부터 들은 소식이라  

3:12 가인 같이 하지 말라 그는 악한 자에게 속하여 그 아우를 죽였으니 어떤 이유로 죽였느냐 자기의 행위는 악하고 그의 아우의 행위는 의로움이라 

3:13 형제들아 세상이 너희를 미워하여도 이상히 여기지 말라  

3:14 우리는 형제를 사랑함으로 사망에서 옮겨 생명으로 들어간 줄을 알거니와 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 사망에 머물러 있느니라  

3:15 그 형제를 미워하는 자마다 살인하는 자니 살인하는 자마다 영생이 그 속에 거하지 아니하는 것을 너희가 아는 바라  

3:16 그가 우리를 위하여 목숨을 버리셨으니 우리가 이로써 사랑을 알고 우리도 형제들을 위하여 목숨을 버리는 것이 마땅하니라  

3:17 누가 이 세상의 재물을 가지고 형제의 궁핍함을 보고도 도와 줄 마음을 닫으면 하나님의 사랑이 어찌 그 속에 거하겠느냐  

3:18 자녀들아 우리가 말과 혀로만 사랑하지 말고 행함과 진실함으로 하자  

2. NIV

3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

3:2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

3:3 Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

3:4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.

3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

3:7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.

3:8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.

3:10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

3:11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

3:12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous.

3:13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.

3:14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

3:15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

3:17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
