21:4 백성이 호르 산에서 출발하여 홍해 길을 따라 에돔 땅을 우회하려 하였다가 길로 말미암아 백성의 마음이 상하니라
21:5 백성이 하나님과 모세를 향하여 원망하되 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도해 내어 이 광야에서 죽게 하는가 이 곳에는 먹을 것도 없고 물도 없도다 우리 마음이 이 하찮은 음식을 싫어하노라 하매
21:6 여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많은지라
21:7 백성이 모세에게 이르러 말하되 우리가 여호와와 당신을 향하여 원망함으로 범죄하였사오니 여호와께 기도하여 이 뱀들을 우리에게서 떠나게 하소서 모세가 백성을 위하여 기도하매
21:8 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 매달아라 물린 자마다 그것을 보면 살리라
21:9 모세가 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 다니 뱀에게 물린 자가 놋뱀을 쳐다본즉 모두 살더라
21:4 They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way;
21:5 they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!"
21:6 Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.
21:7 The people came to Moses and said, "We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us." So Moses prayed for the people.
21:8 The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live."
21:9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.
17:12 모세의 팔이 피곤하매 그들이 돌을 가져다가 모세의 아래에 놓아 그가 그 위에 앉게 하고 아론과 훌이 한 사람은 이쪽에서, 한 사람은 저쪽에서 모세의 손을 붙들어 올렸더니 그 손이 해가 지도록 내려오지 아니한지라
17:13 여호수아가 칼날로 아말렉과 그 백성을 쳐서 무찌르니라
17:14 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이것을 책에 기록하여 기념하게 하고 여호수아의 귀에 외워 들리라 내가 아말렉을 없이하여 천하에서 기억도 못 하게 하리라
17:15 모세가 제단을 쌓고 그 이름을 여호와 닛시라 하고
17:16 이르되 여호와께서 맹세하시기를 여호와가 아말렉과 더불어 대대로 싸우리라 하셨다 하였더라
17:8 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim.
17:9 Moses said to Joshua, "Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands."
17:10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill.
17:11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.
17:12 When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up--one on one side, one on the other--so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
17:13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.
17:14 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."
17:15 Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner.
17:16 He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation."
2:14 내 형제들아 만일 사람이 믿음이 있노라 하고 행함이 없으면 무슨 유익이 있으리요 그 믿음이 능히 자기를 구원하겠느냐
2:15 만일 형제나 자매가 헐벗고 일용할 양식이 없는데
2:16 너희 중에 누구든지 그에게 이르되 평안히 가라, 덥게 하라, 배부르게 하라 하며 그 몸에 쓸 것을 주지 아니하면 무슨 유익이 있으리요
2:17 이와 같이 행함이 없는 믿음은 그 자체가 죽은 것이라
2:18 어떤 사람은 말하기를 너는 믿음이 있고 나는 행함이 있으니 행함이 없는 네 믿음을 내게 보이라 나는 행함으로 내 믿음을 네게 보이리라 하리라
2:19 네가 하나님은 한 분이신 줄을 믿느냐 잘하는도다 귀신들도 믿고 떠느니라
2:20 아아 허탄한 사람아 행함이 없는 믿음이 헛것인 줄을 알고자 하느냐
2:21 우리 조상 아브라함이 그 아들 이삭을 제단에 바칠 때에 행함으로 의롭다 하심을 받은 것이 아니냐
2:22 네가 보거니와 믿음이 그의 행함과 함께 일하고 행함으로 믿음이 온전하게 되었느니라
2:23 이에 성경에 이른 바 아브라함이 하나님을 믿으니 이것을 의로 여기셨다는 말씀이 이루어졌고 그는 하나님의 벗이라 칭함을 받았나니
2:24 이로 보건대 사람이 행함으로 의롭다 하심을 받고 믿음으로만은 아니니라
2:25 또 이와 같이 기생 라합이 사자들을 접대하여 다른 길로 나가게 할 때에 행함으로 의롭다 하심을 받은 것이 아니냐
2:26 영혼 없는 몸이 죽은 것 같이 행함이 없는 믿음은 죽은 것이니라
2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
2:15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
2:16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?
2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
2:18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.
2:20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
2:21 Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend.
2:24 You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
2:25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
12:40 요나가 밤낮 사흘 동안 큰 물고기 뱃속에 있었던 것 같이 인자도 밤낮 사흘 동안 땅 속에 있으리라
12:41 심판 때에 니느웨 사람들이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그들이 요나의 전도를 듣고 회개하였음이거니와 요나보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있으며
12:42 심판 때에 남방 여왕이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그가 솔로몬의 지혜로운 말을 들으려고 땅 끝에서 왔음이거니와 솔로몬보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라
12:43 더러운 귀신이 사람에게서 나갔을 때에 물 없는 곳으로 다니며 쉬기를 구하되 쉴 곳을 얻지 못하고
12:44 이에 이르되 내가 나온 내 집으로 돌아가리라 하고 와 보니 그 집이 비고 청소되고 수리되었거늘
12:45 이에 가서 저보다 더 악한 귀신 일곱을 데리고 들어가서 거하니 그 사람의 나중 형편이 전보다 더욱 심하게 되느니라 이 악한 세대가 또한 이렇게 되리라
12:30 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.
12:31 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
12:33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.
12:34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
12:35 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
12:36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
12:37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
12:38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you."
12:39 He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
12:41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here.
12:42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.
12:43 "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
12:44 Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.
12:45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
11:17 이르되 우리가 너희를 향하여 피리를 불어도 너희가 춤추지 않고 우리가 슬피 울어도 너희가 가슴을 치지 아니하였다 함과 같도다
11:18 요한이 와서 먹지도 않고 마시지도 아니하매 그들이 말하기를 귀신이 들렸다 하더니
11:19 인자는 와서 먹고 마시매 말하기를 보라 먹기를 탐하고 포도주를 즐기는 사람이요 세리와 죄인의 친구로다 하니 지혜는 그 행한 일로 인하여 옳다 함을 얻느니라
11:20 예수께서 권능을 가장 많이 행하신 고을들이 회개하지 아니하므로 그 때에 책망하시되
11:21 화 있을진저 고라신아 화 있을진저 벳새다야 너희에게 행한 모든 권능을 두로와 시돈에서 행하였더라면 그들이 벌써 베옷을 입고 재에 앉아 회개하였으리라
11:22 내가 너희에게 이르노니 심판 날에 두로와 시돈이 너희보다 견디기 쉬우리라
11:23 가버나움아 네가 하늘에까지 높아지겠느냐 음부에까지 낮아지리라 네게 행한 모든 권능을 소돔에서 행하였더라면 그 성이 오늘까지 있었으리라
11:24 내가 너희에게 이르노니 심판 날에 소돔 땅이 너보다 견디기 쉬우리라 하시니라
11:25 그 때에 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 천지의 주재이신 아버지여 이것을 지혜롭고 슬기 있는 자들에게는 숨기시고 어린 아이들에게는 나타내심을 감사하나이다
11:26 옳소이다 이렇게 된 것이 아버지의 뜻이니이다
11:27 내 아버지께서 모든 것을 내게 주셨으니 아버지 외에는 아들을 아는 자가 없고 아들과 또 아들의 소원대로 계시를 받는 자 외에는 아버지를 아는 자가 없느니라
11:28 수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라
11:29 나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니 나의 멍에를 메고 내게 배우라 그리하면 너희 마음이 쉼을 얻으리니
11:30 이는 내 멍에는 쉽고 내 짐은 가벼움이라 하시니라
11:16 "To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:
11:17 "'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.'
11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." 'But wisdom is proved right by her actions."
11:20 Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.
11:21 "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
11:22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
11:23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.
11:24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."
11:25 At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
11:26 Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
11:27 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
13:14 이사야의 예언이 그들에게 이루어졌으니 일렀으되 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라
13:15 이 백성들의 마음이 완악하여져서 그 귀는 듣기에 둔하고 눈은 감았으니 이는 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨달아 돌이켜 내게 고침을 받을까 두려워함이라 하였느니라
13:16 그러나 너희 눈은 봄으로, 너희 귀는 들음으로 복이 있도다
13:17 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 많은 선지자와 의인이 너희가 보는 것들을 보고자 하여도 보지 못하였고 너희가 듣는 것들을 듣고자 하여도 듣지 못하였느니라
13:18 그런즉 씨 뿌리는 비유를 들으라
13:19 아무나 천국 말씀을 듣고 깨닫지 못할 때는 악한 자가 와서 그 마음에 뿌려진 것을 빼앗나니 이는 곧 길 가에 뿌려진 자요
13:20 돌밭에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 즉시 기쁨으로 받되
13:21 그 속에 뿌리가 없어 잠시 견디다가 말씀으로 말미암아 환난이나 박해가 일어날 때에는 곧 넘어지는 자요
13:22 가시떨기에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 들으나 세상의 염려와 재물의 유혹에 말씀이 막혀 결실하지 못하는 자요
13:23 좋은 땅에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 듣고 깨닫는 자니 결실하여 어떤 것은 백 배, 어떤 것은 육십 배, 어떤 것은 삼십 배가 되느니라 하시더라
13:24 예수께서 그들 앞에 또 비유를 들어 이르시되 천국은 좋은 씨를 제 밭에 뿌린 사람과 같으니
13:25 사람들이 잘 때에 그 원수가 와서 곡식 가운데 가라지를 덧뿌리고 갔더니
13:26 싹이 나고 결실할 때에 가라지도 보이거늘
13:27 집 주인의 종들이 와서 말하되 주여 밭에 좋은 씨를 뿌리지 아니하였나이까 그런데 가라지가 어디서 생겼나이까
13:28 주인이 이르되 원수가 이렇게 하였구나 종들이 말하되 그러면 우리가 가서 이것을 뽑기를 원하시나이까
13:29 주인이 이르되 가만 두라 가라지를 뽑다가 곡식까지 뽑을까 염려하노라
13:30 둘 다 추수 때까지 함께 자라게 두라 추수 때에 내가 추수꾼들에게 말하기를 가라지는 먼저 거두어 불사르게 단으로 묶고 곡식은 모아 내 곳간에 넣으라 하리라
13:14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
13:15 For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'
13:16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
13:17 For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
13:18 "Listen then to what the parable of the sower means:
13:19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
13:20 The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
13:21 But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.
13:22 The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.
13:23 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
13:24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
13:25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.
13:26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
13:27 "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
13:28 "'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
13:29 "'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them.
13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'"
9:17 성경이 바로에게 이르시되 내가 이 일을 위하여 너를 세웠으니 곧 너로 말미암아 내 능력을 보이고 내 이름이 온 땅에 전파되게 하려 함이라 하셨으니
9:18 그런즉 하나님께서 하고자 하시는 자를 긍휼히 여기시고 하고자 하시는 자를 완악하게 하시느니라
9:19 혹 네가 내게 말하기를 그러면 하나님이 어찌하여 허물하시느냐 누가 그 뜻을 대적하느냐 하리니
9:20 이 사람아 네가 누구이기에 감히 하나님께 반문하느냐 지음을 받은 물건이 지은 자에게 어찌 나를 이같이 만들었느냐 말하겠느냐
9:21 토기장이가 진흙 한 덩이로 하나는 귀히 쓸 그릇을, 하나는 천히 쓸 그릇을 만들 권한이 없느냐
9:22 만일 하나님이 그의 진노를 보이시고 그의 능력을 알게 하고자 하사 멸하기로 준비된 진노의 그릇을 오래 참으심으로 관용하시고
9:23 또한 영광 받기로 예비하신 바 긍휼의 그릇에 대하여 그 영광의 풍성함을 알게 하고자 하셨을지라도 무슨 말을 하리요
9:24 이 그릇은 우리니 곧 유대인 중에서뿐 아니라 이방인 중에서도 부르신 자니라
9:25 호세아의 글에도 이르기를 내가 내 백성 아닌 자를 내 백성이라, 사랑하지 아니한 자를 사랑한 자라 부르리라
9:26 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그 곳에서 그들이 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받으리라 함과 같으니라
9:27 또 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 외치되 이스라엘 자손들의 수가 비록 바다의 모래 같을지라도 남은 자만 구원을 받으리니
9:28 주께서 땅 위에서 그 말씀을 이루고 속히 시행하시리라 하셨느니라
9:29 또한 이사야가 미리 말한 바 만일 만군의 주께서 우리에게 씨를 남겨 두지 아니하셨더라면 우리가 소돔과 같이 되고 고모라와 같았으리로다 함과 같으니라
9:30 그런즉 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요 의를 따르지 아니한 이방인들이 의를 얻었으니 곧 믿음에서 난 의요
9:31 의의 법을 따라간 이스라엘은 율법에 이르지 못하였으니
9:32 어찌 그러하냐 이는 그들이 믿음을 의지하지 않고 행위를 의지함이라 부딪칠 돌에 부딪쳤느니라
9:33 기록된 바 보라 내가 걸림돌과 거치는 바위를 시온에 두노니 그를 믿는 자는 부끄러움을 당하지 아니하리라 함과 같으니라
9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
9:18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
9:19 One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?"
9:20 But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?'"
9:21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
9:22 What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath--prepared for destruction?
9:23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory--
9:24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?
9:25 As he says in Hosea: "I will call them 'my people' who are not my people; and I will call her 'my loved one' who is not my loved one,"
9:26 and, "It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' they will be called 'sons of the living God.'"
9:27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.
9:28 For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality."
9:29 It is just as Isaiah said previously: "Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah."
9:30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
9:31 but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.
9:32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone."
9:33 As it is written: "See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
16:21 그 부자의 상에서 떨어지는 것으로 배불리려 하매 심지어 개들이 와서 그 헌데를 핥더라
16:22 이에 그 거지가 죽어 천사들에게 받들려 아브라함의 품에 들어가고 부자도 죽어 장사되매
16:23 그가 음부에서 고통중에 눈을 들어 멀리 아브라함과 그의 품에 있는 나사로를 보고
16:24 불러 이르되 아버지 아브라함이여 나를 긍휼히 여기사 나사로를 보내어 그 손가락 끝에 물을 찍어 내 혀를 서늘하게 하소서 내가 이 불꽃 가운데서 괴로워하나이다
16:25 아브라함이 이르되 얘 너는 살았을 때에 좋은 것을 받았고 나사로는 고난을 받았으니 이것을 기억하라 이제 그는 여기서 위로를 받고 너는 괴로움을 받느니라
16:26 그뿐 아니라 너희와 우리 사이에 큰 구렁텅이가 놓여 있어 여기서 너희에게 건너가고자 하되 갈 수 없고 거기서 우리에게 건너올 수도 없게 하였느니라
16:27 이르되 그러면 아버지여 구하노니 나사로를 내 아버지의 집에 보내소서
16:28 내 형제 다섯이 있으니 그들에게 증언하게 하여 그들로 이 고통 받는 곳에 오지 않게 하소서
16:29 아브라함이 이르되 그들에게 모세와 선지자들이 있으니 그들에게 들을지니라
16:30 이르되 그렇지 아니하니이다 아버지 아브라함이여 만일 죽은 자에게서 그들에게 가는 자가 있으면 회개하리이다
16:31 이르되 모세와 선지자들에게 듣지 아니하면 비록 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나는 자가 있을지라도 권함을 받지 아니하리라 하였다 하시니라
16:19 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.
16:20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores
16:21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
16:22 "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.
16:23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
16:24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
16:25 "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
16:26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'
16:27 "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house,
16:28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'
16:29 "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'
16:30 "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'
16:31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"
28:5 여호와께서 내게 여러 아들을 주시고 그 모든 아들 중에서 내 아들 솔로몬을 택하사 여호와의 나라 왕 위에 앉혀 이스라엘을 다스리게 하려 하실새
28:6 내게 이르시기를 네 아들 솔로몬 그가 내 성전을 건축하고 내 여러 뜰을 만들리니 이는 내가 그를 택하여 내 아들로 삼고 나는 그의 아버지가 될 것임이라
28:7 그가 만일 나의 계명과 법도를 힘써 준행하기를 오늘과 같이 하면 내가 그의 나라를 영원히 견고하게 하리라 하셨느니라
28:8 이제 너희는 온 이스라엘 곧 여호와의 회중이 보는 데에서와 우리 하나님이 들으시는 데에서 너희 하나님 여호와의 모든 계명을 구하여 지키기로 하라 그리하면 너희가 이 아름다운 땅을 누리고 너희 후손에게 끼쳐 영원한 기업이 되게 하리라
28:9 내 아들 솔로몬아 너는 네 아버지의 하나님을 알고 온전한 마음과 기쁜 뜻으로 섬길지어다 여호와께서는 모든 마음을 감찰하사 모든 의도를 아시나니 네가 만일 그를 찾으면 만날 것이요 만일 네가 그를 버리면 그가 너를 영원히 버리시리라
28:10 그런즉 이제 너는 삼갈지어다 여호와께서 너를 택하여 성전의 건물을 건축하게 하셨으니 힘써 행할지니라 하니라
28:11 다윗이 성전의 복도와 그 집들과 그 곳간과 다락과 골방과 속죄소의 설계도를 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 주고
28:12 또 그가 영감으로 받은 모든 것 곧 여호와의 성전의 뜰과 사면의 모든 방과 하나님의 성전 곳간과 성물 곳간의 설계도를 주고
28:13 또 제사장과 레위 사람의 반열과 여호와의 성전에서 섬기는 모든 일과 여호와의 성전을 섬기는 데에 쓰는 모든 그릇의 양식을 설명하고
28:14 또 모든 섬기는 데에 쓰는 금 기구를 만들 금의 무게와 모든 섬기는 데에 쓰는 은 기구를 만들 은의 무게를 정하고
28:15 또 금 등잔대들과 그 등잔 곧 각 등잔대와 그 등잔을 만들 금의 무게와 은 등잔대와 그 등잔을 만들 은의 무게를 각기 그 기구에 알맞게 하고
28:16 또 진설병의 각 상을 만들 금의 무게를 정하고 은상을 만들 은도 그렇게 하고
28:17 갈고리와 대접과 종지를 만들 순금과 금 잔 곧 각 잔을 만들 금의 무게와 또 은 잔 곧 각 잔을 만들 은의 무게를 정하고
28:18 또 향단에 쓸 순금과 또 수레 곧 금 그룹들의 설계도대로 만들 금의 무게를 정해 주니 이 그룹들은 날개를 펴서 여호와의 언약궤를 덮는 것이더라
28:19 다윗이 이르되 여호와의 손이 내게 임하여 이 모든 일의 설계를 그려 나에게 알려 주셨느니라
28:20 또 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 이르되 너는 강하고 담대하게 이 일을 행하라 두려워하지 말며 놀라지 말라 네가 여호와의 성전 공사의 모든 일을 마치기까지 여호와 하나님 나의 하나님이 너와 함께 계시사 네게서 떠나지 아니하시고 너를 버리지 아니하시리라
28:5 Of all my sons-and the LORD has given me many-he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. 28:6 He said to me: 'Solomon your son is the one who will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 28:7 I will establish his kingdom forever if he is unswerving in carrying out my commands and laws, as is being done at this time.' 28:8 "So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the LORD your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever. 28:9 "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. 28:10 Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work." 28:11 Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement. 28:12 He gave him the plans of all that the Spirit had put in his mind for the courts of the temple of the LORD and all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of the temple of God and for the treasuries for the dedicated things. 28:13 He gave him instructions for the divisions of the priests and Levites, and for all the work of serving in the temple of the LORD, as well as for all the articles to be used in its service. 28:14 He designated the weight of gold for all the gold articles to be used in various kinds of service, and the weight of silver for all the silver articles to be used in various kinds of service: 28:15 the weight of gold for the gold lampstands and their lamps, with the weight for each lampstand and its lamps; and the weight of silver for each silver lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand; 28:16 the weight of gold for each table for consecrated bread; the weight of silver for the silver tables; 28:17 the weight of pure gold for the forks, sprinkling bowls and pitchers; the weight of gold for each gold dish; the weight of silver for each silver dish; 28:18 and the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense. He also gave him the plan for the chariot, that is, the cherubim of gold that spread their wings and shelter the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 28:19 "All this," David said, "I have in writing from the hand of the LORD upon me, and he gave me understanding in all the details of the plan." 28:20 David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
10:16 주께서 이르시되 그 날 후로는 그들과 맺을 언약이 이것이라 하시고 내 법을 그들의 마음에 두고 그들의 생각에 기록하리라 하신 후에
10:17 또 그들의 죄와 그들의 불법을 내가 다시 기억하지 아니하리라 하셨으니
10:18 이것들을 사하셨은즉 다시 죄를 위하여 제사 드릴 것이 없느니라
10:19 그러므로 형제들아 우리가 예수의 피를 힘입어 성소에 들어갈 담력을 얻었나니
10:20 그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새로운 살 길이요 휘장은 곧 그의 육체니라
10:21 또 하나님의 집 다스리는 큰 제사장이 계시매
10:22 우리가 마음에 뿌림을 받아 악한 양심으로부터 벗어나고 몸은 맑은 물로 씻음을 받았으니 참 마음과 온전한 믿음으로 하나님께 나아가자
10:23 또 약속하신 이는 미쁘시니 우리가 믿는 도리의 소망을 움직이지 말며 굳게 잡고
10:24 서로 돌아보아 사랑과 선행을 격려하며
10:25 모이기를 폐하는 어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 하지 말고 오직 권하여 그 날이 가까움을 볼수록 더욱 그리하자
10:26 우리가 진리를 아는 지식을 받은 후 짐짓 죄를 범한즉 다시 속죄하는 제사가 없고
10:27 오직 무서운 마음으로 심판을 기다리는 것과 대적하는 자를 태울 맹렬한 불만 있으리라
10:28 모세의 법을 폐한 자도 두세 증인으로 말미암아 불쌍히 여김을 받지 못하고 죽었거든
10:29 하물며 하나님의 아들을 짓밟고 자기를 거룩하게 한 언약의 피를 부정한 것으로 여기고 은혜의 성령을 욕되게 하는 자가 당연히 받을 형벌은 얼마나 더 무겁겠느냐 너희는 생각하라
10:30 원수 갚는 것이 내게 있으니 내가 갚으리라 하시고 또 다시 주께서 그의 백성을 심판하리라 말씀하신 것을 우리가 아노니
10:31 살아 계신 하나님의 손에 빠져 들어가는 것이 무서울진저
10:32 전날에 너희가 빛을 받은 후에 고난의 큰 싸움을 견디어 낸 것을 생각하라
10:33 혹은 비방과 환난으로써 사람에게 구경거리가 되고 혹은 이런 형편에 있는 자들과 사귀는 자가 되었으니
10:34 너희가 갇힌 자를 동정하고 너희 소유를 빼앗기는 것도 기쁘게 당한 것은 더 낫고 영구한 소유가 있는 줄 앎이라
10:35 그러므로 너희 담대함을 버리지 말라 이것이 큰 상을 얻게 하느니라
10:36 너희에게 인내가 필요함은 너희가 하나님의 뜻을 행한 후에 약속하신 것을 받기 위함이라
10:37 잠시 잠깐 후면 오실 이가 오시리니 지체하지 아니하시리라
10:15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
10:16 "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."
10:17 Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
10:18 And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
10:20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,
10:21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
10:24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
10:27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
10:28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
10:29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
10:30 For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people."
10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
10:32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.
10:33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.
10:34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.
10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
10:37 For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay.
